About Us
Welcome. I’m Wil Schneider.
Born and raised in Sacramento, I’ve been building houses since I was a young boy. My dad was a county engineer. He showed me the nuts and bolts of how construction works and taught me the value of efficiency.
Being artistic by nature, I knew engineering wasn’t my path. As a building designer I get to combine my creative side with my technical skills and construction experience every day!
My first job out of college was building and designing gas stations for a regional oil company. There I learned to run construction crews and keep projects on schedule and budget.
I’ve also worked for a major Sacramento architectural firm designing commercial and public projects.
I opened Schneider & Associates in 1995 and have been happily designing for new and repeat clients and contractors ever since!
How I work
I typically work one of two ways:
1. directly with the homeowner or business owner, or
2. in partnership with the general contractor
